Standard Kit Components (if not selecting alternatives) include:

• Motorised Wheel (stainless 12G spokes, double-wall rim) with freewheeling geared brushless motor, to suit rim or disc brakes
• Sinewave 22A 48v Controller, with mounting bag. Contains option to plug in our Light Set
• Centrally-mounted LCD8H Colour Display, with USB output,
• Thumb throttle
• One-piece pedelec V12L
• Brake cutout sensor  x1 (can be glued on to existing lever, optional to install)
• 1:4 wiring harness, to run from controller to handlebar controls

While we can supply 500W front hub motors, with most e-bike builds we highly recommend the 500W hub motor kit is fitted to the rear of the bike. Contact us if you would like to discuss options.  The cassette spline mount on the rear wheel version means the width of the motorised axle is around 140mm, a little wider than some dropouts at 135mm, but its usually fine to stretch out the frame slightly to accommodate this motorised wheel.

Our wheels are built using durable double-wall rims and thicker 12G spokes, to withstand the extra weight and torque of the motor. A spline mount is attached to fit your 7-10 speed cassette. The motor casing also includes holes to attach a disc brake rotor, if you bike has discs. All common wheel sizes are available to choose from, and there is a plug near the wheel for simple removal.

This quality motorised wheel is matched with a compact 17Amp MORE EFFICIENT Sinewave controller, the brains of the system, positioned between the battery and the motor. All cables come to this hub, and are designed to be appropriate lengths for the average bike.

In addition to the Pedal Assist Sensor (PAS) giving 5 levels of automatic assistance when turning the pedals, the kit includes a throttle, which will power the motor without pedalling, and act as an override to the PAS.  If fitted to a road-legal e-bike (250W currently in most states, 500w in NSW), throttle use must be limited to 6km/h (which can be set with the Pedelec system).  Throttles are great for people who really need the assistance starting-off, before they have rotated the pedals enough for the pedelec to kick in (around a quarter turn on the pedals). Riding an e-bike just on throttle at full speed isn’t road-legal, and looks really obviously illegal too!  So consider limiting yours - call us ,to talk you through these settings.
